Drawing Instructor at Sea!
I will be the drawing instructor on Holland America's Grand Voyage Australia & New Zealand. The 93-day voyage is round-trip San Diego on the Zaandam from January 4 to April 7. I will join the ship in Perth, Australia, on February 21 for the second half of this voyage. My class, titled "Wish You Were Here: Picture Postdcards" will focus on sketching skills for travelers, creating postcard-size memories on location or from photos.

Step 1:
Crop photo in Drawing Grid app on phone to add grid lines
Step 2:
Transfer image to 4" x 6" watercolor paper postcard with pencil.
Step 3:
Make ink drawing using pencil lines as guide.
Step 4:
Erase pencil lines, add watercolor accents
